On the Coast

We spent the entire day on Sunday driving to Port Orford. One stop along the way was at the Bandon Lighthouse. Although it was dusk, the lighthouse was beautiful. The weather was wonderful...that is...until about 20 miles from Port Orford where the fog set in. It is so crazy to see a distinct line of blue sky and then misty fog. Well, 2 days later, the fog is still here. Even through all the fog, the vast spance of ocean is just an unforgetable sight.

We'll have to attach pictures later as we are not on our own computer where the photos are being stored.

Although very foggy, we walked along the beach and sat on a large rock, a.k.a. a sea stack watching the waves crashing against the other sea stacks in the water. This is one of the prettiest stretches of beaches we have ever seen. It is so quick, except for the sounds of the waves and the enormous seagulls.

Port Orford just opened a brand new library and it is beautiful. For such a small town, they really were able to build an impressive facility for the town people to have access to. http://www.polibrary.org/homepage_pol.htm (click on link if you are interested).

We are going to travel up the coast this afternoon, we are in search of the sunshine. We'll come back to this later and add some of the pictures. Tonight we are going out to the Cape Blanco lighthouse to experiment with taking nighttime photos with the new camera.
