Ireland!

We are back in U.K. Ireland was beautiful...of course, will take time tomorrow to fill in all the blanks from London through 3 days in Ireland. The population has more sheep then it does people living there...and some are pink! . . . Now some pictures : . . . . try to ignore my cheery look during breakfast. We woke about 3 AM to catch a 6 AM flight then this breakfast they served ! ! ! . . well, it wasn't what I was expecting. Beans, blood biscuits and an egg and bacon. No wonder everyone there is skinny. Everything else about the trip was awesome !

We took a one hour flight from Stanstead England to Cork Ireland, rented this luxurious 4-seater and headed out for the coast. Had a full Irish breakfast (complete with mysterious blackish things shaped like a sausage patty) about 9 AM in Killarney then walked the town and harbor areas. Interesting how many of the buildings are brightly colored. Very pretty, very clean, very nice! Now off to Inch Beach located on the Dingle Peninsula (Map below) with a trek through the interior superhighway and few scenic stops before arriving.

An interior highway between Killarney and Dingle. The scenery was superb when I shot the pic!

This is not trick photography, Dena really was shrunken down by a leprechaun ! These prehistoric looking plants are either "Elephant Ears" or, someone said, "Giant Rhubarb".

Ahhhh, Inch Beach at last. Here's the place we stayed the first night. Water was incredibly warm at the beach.

After we checked in, went for a drive around the "Ring of Kerry" (below) which is the peninsula right across (south) from Dingle Peninsula. It was an awesome drive , we completed only 1/2 of the loop. Also enjoyed driving the loop around Dingle Peninsula the next day.

From North side of "Ring of Kerry" (above), you can see Dingle Peninsula across the water (far left of photo on left). We both got into a photo at last ! This was at same pull out on Ring of Kerry on Saturday evening about 6 PM.

Total bliss . . . . a time to relax and take it all in, at last. More Gigantic plants!

Below are some photo's from the drive around Dingle Peninsula Truly breath taking coastal views. First 3 rows of pictures below are at an ancient coastal lookout post dating back to 400 BC, about 10 miles west of Inch.

This neat boat launch / natural harbor is near the tip of Dingle Peninsula. Some local post cards shows hundreds of sheep walking on the steep brick and stone walkway shown above.

Someones "wee bit of a castle" summer get-away. This is on Valentia Island we crossed on bridge below.

The View from Valentia Island looking back toward Dingle Peninsula. Ah yes, life on "the other side" . . . . . wonder what all the little people are doing over there - - - I don't know but, It's time to stop daydreaming and get back : )

And then, on the final day was "The Cliffs of Mohr" :

Can't wait to hear about the "Pink" Sheep, Maybe they are MK sheep?!

I did find the web site address after I e-mailed you. Everything is fine here. Talked with the aunties today. Seems okay. They are very excited about the birdhouse.
Give each other a big hug from us.
Love you
